I have thought about getting my eyebrow pierced for several years, although never very seriously. I held off for a number of reason, like my skin isn't clear enough, my eyebrows aren't shapely enough, my boss wouldn't like it, and that I'm not brave enough. Then, last week, I finally just said screw it and decided to get it done. Luckily I was able to make an appointment for the coming weekend.
The piercing was exactly as I expected it. The only thing that made me uncomfortable was that we decided to use a ring from my ear for the pierce, and we didn't autoclave the jewelry. There shouldn't be a problem since the jewelry had already been in my body, but it did bother me a bit. Any, so Lance marked the area a few times, and my enterage and I picked a spot. Lance clamped the area, I took some deep breaths, and then it was pierced. The piercing hurt less than when I got my eyebrows waxed, but it bled for a bit. The healing is going well so far, although it does hurt when I bump my ring. I may consider getting a barbell after it's healed so the ring doesn't torque when I sleep on my face.
There might be some complications. My sunglasses hit the pierce, and my swim goggles might also as well. If this is going to be a problem, I will have to take the pierce out.
July 29, 1999 Update
I removed this jewelry today. I am getting married in 10 days and I didn't want the jewelry in then. I also saw pictures of myself with this pierce and decided it wasn't flattering. It was fun for a while though.
