I guess you could say that this was my first car, in that it was my mother's, and when it was eventually left in a field to rot, I'd work on it when no one was home, and once I got it running again, would tear around the island at breakneck speed.

Because this was a Superbeetle, it had the big tall struts for the front suspension, so I never ended up doing anything with it as far as a kit car, but you never know in the future... It's currently in storage.
