This was my first car, if the definition of first car is the first one that I legally owned and had licensed for Canadian streets. When I bought it (first three photos), a previous owner -- this was one of those kits that had passed from person to person -- had pasted on these horrible Countach scoops and wing.

I attempted to "clean" the car -- at its core, it's a very pretty wedge, loosely based on Alfa Romeo's Carabo prototype. That went really well for a while, but in my "final step", I cracked the $5000 windshield (it came from a Lamborghini Muira)... I didn't feel it was worth it to buy a new one, so I sold the car to someone more foolhardy.

Oh, and I also discovered that bad things happen to a Beetle engine (this is a VW kit car if it wasn't obvious) when you drive it well past 100 MPH.
