From Webster's New World Dictionary: Third Edition,
"an-ar-chy (an´er kë, är´) n., pl. -chies 1 the complete absence of government 2 political disorder and violence; lawlessness 3 disorder in any sphere of activity
"lib-er-tar-i|an (lib´er ter´ê en) n. 1 a person who believes in the doctrine of the freedom of the will 2 a person who believes in full individual freedom of thought, expression, and action"
Just because a tome has become a staple of English, like Webster's, doesn't mean that they it is correct. In this case they are blatantly wrong. My definition of anarchy is: being able to do/think/say what ever I want without inflicting my will forcefully upon another. In the definition for anarchy, it states in the second definition that anarchy includes violence. Because in the past, anarchists have been violent, there is this horrible stereotype that anarchy is violent.

As herd animals, we humans have an innate fear of losing our leaders. Those
who would be in power are only the people with enough savvy to realize that
we are animals which like to be led. Those who are in power are merely the
people who have enough guts to do it. The total lack of any government is
scary. Who is going to protect me from all the murderers, thieves, and all
the generally bad people out there? Well I hate to break it too you, but
nobody is right now. No matter how many people are put in jail, no matter
how many cops are put on the street, no matter how many laws are written,
crime rates are only been rising. Flagrant law breaking is everywhere and
nothing is being done about it. Open your eyes. People are having their
precious shit taken from them, and is not being returned. People are being
shot in the street, and nobody is going to jail.
There will never be a true anarchist state. It takes too much responsibility.
A Greek philosopher (who's name escapes me) once said: "No man is truly
free until he has mastered his desires." Before man/woman will be able
to rule himself he will have to learn to rise above the instincts to hoard,
steal, and defend territory. To look upon the foraging cultures, who hoard
nothing and all things are shared equally. They value only ones skills,
mind and experience, not how much stuff they have. They live with each other
amicably and disputes are few and far between. For support of my hypothesis
watch The Gods Must Be Crazy.
