i currently have two scarification projects, done with different methods.
the cutting on my chest is a set of norse dragons on either side of my tattoo. tashi (from Perforations) and i discussed several different possible methods, but decided on using a tattoo machine with no ink, essentially tearing up the skin to create a scar. i have experienced a good deal of fading with these scars, so when i get around to touching them up, we will switch to a scalpel.
the scar on my back is a brand done by keith alexander (from modern american bodyarts). it is the rune uruz, which symbolizes the wild energy found in nature. this energy, when channeled properly, can be used as a creative force. it is also a talisman for strength. my brand has faded some, so i will probably have it touched up sometime in the future.
