Welcome
To Mark Of Cain Tattoos As Art. We endeavour to provide our clients with the highest possible level of professional tattooing. We are constantly evolving our techniques and aftercare as new information becomes available. We believe that due to our constant vigilance concerning changes and new information, we are on the cutting edge of tattooing, and we have every intention of remaining there.
History
Mark Of Cain Tattoo Art was opened in 1996 by Charles Cain in Boone, North Carolina, after several years of working in shops owned by other people. After changing location twice in Boone, a permenant home was found at 128 Appalachian Street in Boone. This space is shared with Primalisms Body Piercing.

Working contrary to what we consider the "industry standard", all of the tattoo work done in our studio is custom freehand work and no flash is used, or even available for customer perusal. In this way, the tattoo that the client wants, instead of a close approximation (flash) is provided, the artistry and individuality of tattooing is emphasised, instead of it being treated as a "get 'em in, get 'em out" industry. In 1998, Mark Of Cain and Primalisms joined forces, culminating in the formation of PMI. Now Mark Of Cain Tattoo Art is a wholly owned subsidiary of PMI, Inc.

Mission
Here at Mark Of Cain Tattoos As Art, we strive to be the very best that we can be, and to offer the most advanced, safest, cleanest tattooing in the world. We are very proud of the way we work, and invite everyone to come and see us in action. we believe that through communication and cooperation, not back-stabbing and competition, all tattooists can, and should, work together to elevate this art form to a level it has enjoyed in many other societies and civilisations, but never in this one. Please take the time to look through the information we have presented here, and feel free to email us with thoughts, complaints, or comments on this web site, or on tattooing in general. Thank you, and enjoy.
