Jen's Modifications

My name is Jen Hurt. I received my masters degree in Library and Information Sciences from the University of North Texas in 1997. I worked for a year as a corporate librarian at Texas Instruments/Raytheon in Dallas, but I left the position to start my own software development/web development company called TigerByte Solutions. I am also currently teaching a graduate level class in Online Information Retrieval in the School of Library and Information Studies at Texas Women's University in Denton, TX.

My modifications include: a tattoo of an iguana on my stomach, a tattoo of a sun on the top of my right foot, and a pierced belly button. I've also had my ear pierced up at the top on the cartilage for many years. I got both tattoos while I was in graduate school in Denton. I got my belly button pierced after I started my library job. One weekend the Library Assistant and I decided to go to Huntington Beach, CA for the weekend, and I had it pierced then.

My first tattoo is the lizard on my stomach. I got it to honor my beloved iguana, Tiger.

My boyfriend and I got the matching sun tattoos within a few weeks of the time we started dating. Thank goodness we've stayed together! In fact, we're getting married at the end of April. He has a larger version of the tattoo on his back.
