Which Came First, The Modification Or The Library Job?

The Library job, Sort of. Just a few months out of the Army, I was looking for a city job. I figured, even mowing median strips beat not having benefits. I was lucky enough to start as a page in the reference section, and have moved my way up to the point I am now. I love working in a library, not the least of which is because I don't "fit the mold" of what people expect.

The Story Behind Your Modification : Where Did You Get It?

I Currently have 12 tattoos and 8 piercings. I will try to place them in the order I got them. I started with a simple ear piercing. I then worked my way up to two rings in each ear over time. then a friend of mine gave me my first tattoo-a dolphin. Not the best work, but I am quite attached to it. Then, I got the yin-yang from Gary Jackson in Terrell, Tx. He also did a ring of fire around my arm, and Kermit the frog on my chest, and a black, tribal Scorpion on my right Thigh. I received a rather curious design on my left thigh from an artist from Trilogy Tattoos in Dallas Tx. I then got a septum piercing from Stace at Skin and Bones in Dallas (before they moved to Ellum), and a tongue piercing from Obscurities in Dallas. My net tattoo, was a tribal-is mermaid under my dolphin, Two Multi-colored tribals on my calves, and and angel and Devil also on my calves (pictures coming soon) by a friend named Freeway who worked at a few Tarrat County (Fort Worth) shops. he also pierced my nipples as an x-mas present.

When? starting in 1993 until present

Why? It started as kind of a rite of passage. Some mark important times in my life, others show Facets of my personality
