Big Fat Earlobes
I was 6 years old the
first time I had a needle stuck through
my body with the purpose
of wearing jewelry in the hole it
made. I had it
done with one of those scary guns
that shoots a semi-sharp
stud into your flesh and
fastens it tight with
a butterfly clip. Terrible for cleaning and
keeping your pierce free
of infection.
I continued to get second
and then third holes in my ears.
I now have 3
on the left and 2 on
the right.
I had the original holes
repierced slightly higher
on my earlobe and this
time by hand with
a 10ga needle.
Healed very nicely..
Update: 8-14-98
I've stretched from 10ga
to about 3ga.
5.5mm really. I'm
using knitting needles
to get to my goal.
Which, by the way, is changing all the time.
Originally I wanted to
stop at 2ga. 2ga!
I'm almost there and
it doesn't even feel big enough.
00ga maybe? I don't know.
I'll stop when I'm happy with them.
The stretching isn't
bad at all, I only go .5mm at a time.
It's taking me a while
at this rate, but the slower
I go the better my chances
are of the hole not tearing.
An added bonus to this
is that I've read about the likelyhood o
f the hole shrinking
is better if you've gone slow and haven't
caused any scar tissue
to build due to tearing.
(Who knows how I'll feel
about these when I'm 40, right?)
I think the holes are
still fairly small and I'm already
encountering the typical
remarks from people who don't understand why I'm doing this.
"You want to look like
those people in Africa?"
Umm.
Anyways, they can kiss
my ass if they don't like it.
I do and they're
my ears.
Update: 11-12-98
Last week I was able
to get a candy cane pen through my ears. I used a hacksaw to
cut tubes and sanded
the ends down. Cleaned 'em up and put them in. I use
O rings from Home Depot
or Orchard. Only .25 cents each! What a deal.
I had been wearing some
2ga cbrs but I was bored with them. Even
though they're beautiful
I wanted the holes bigger. My next goal is to
stretch to 00ga so that
I can wear flesh tunnels with the 2ga cbrs running through.
I'm quite close, I'll
put pics up when I have them in.
Update: Same day
When I got home from work I was able to get
these hollow plugs
through my ears. I put the 10ga cbr in to
give it the look
I eventually want. What I learned is that
the sound of
metal against metal that close to your ear
drum is not a
good thing. I'll have to wear plastic plugs
when I want to wear the cbrs.
Here's a pic of the final product. About
an hour after I stretched them.
